چکیده

New Schiff base transition metal complexes derived from 3-ethoxy-2-hydroxy-benzaldehyde and aniline were characterized by magnetic susceptibility measurements, molar conductance, MS, FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, Absorbance EPR spectra. The spectral evidences clearly showed that all the chelates distorted octahedral geometry except Zn(II) complex which exist square planar geometry. Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) spectrum of [CuL] was coinciding with proposed geometries other reported complexes. All synthesized compounds studied for anticancer studies MTT method using Hela cells. From activities, observed IC50 values are significantly higher than standard Cis-platin. cytotoxicity tested against cell line pursued their order Co(II) > Cu(II) ligand. Among them, cytotoxic activity base.

Synthesis and characterization of some transition metal complexes of Schiff base derived from 2,4 - dihydroxybenzaldehyde

Abstract New N2O2 type Schiff base has been designed and synthesized by condensing 2,4 dihydroxy benzaldehyde and α-naphthylamine in ethanol. Solid metal complexes of the schiff base with Cu(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) metal ion were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, molar conductance, IR, UV-Vis and ‘H NMR spectral studies. The data shows that the c...
